IMVU is an online simulation game where players use 3D avatars to meet people as well as talk and interactive with them. In other words, it is an online social entertainment destination. IMVU focuses more in the interactive point of view. You don’t do so much of the customizing, but instead you do more walking around and meeting people or interacting with them. You could compare it more to something like second life.
IMVU is for a more mature audience for it has a 18+ rating for all of its users. It has one of the world’s largest in game goods catalog in which user’s have full access to. There are over 50 million user’s that are registered for IMVU in which 3 million are actively playing every month. Registration is free but i believe you can purchase points within the game to buy things like cloths and accessories for your avatar.
Overall, IMVU seems pretty amazing. It sure is popular enough. I wish there was more of the game play that involves customizing your own house and community but a 3D world where you can interact with anyone is fun to do as well. Try it out and let us know what you think.
